Supplying both red and grey ironbark varieties, Deck-Max sources this hardwood exclusively from the best regulated sources. This provides you with the finest quality ironbark decking, with a certified proof of origin – (Chain of Custody Certification – Legally Harvested Timber).
Ranging from light grey to chocolate, with a distinctive textured pattern, grey ironbark provides a strong, character rich, decking hardwood.
Derived from the eucalyptus paniculata species, it is an extremely durable, class 1 hardwood.
Forrest reds include two primary timbers – Red Ironbark and Red Iron Gum (Qld) Eucalyptus Umbellata, to ensure a continual supply of quality red timbers – All class one hardwood of the finest quality. Red iron Gum is of the softer pink and light reds with a consistent colour plate with not as much variation in colours like Grey iron bark.
With its jarrah like reddish brown, red ironbark is derived from the eucalyptus sideroxylon. Sometimes referred to as Mugga, or mugga ironbark, this hardwood provides a highly stable timber for decking. Red iron bark, when exposed to the elements, ages over a few years to a greyish, cedar like colouring.
